Between the Buried and Me was created in 2000 in Raleigh, North Carolina by singer Tommy Rogers, guitar player Paul Waggoner, drummer Will Goodyear, guitarist Nick Fletcher, and bassist Jason King. They selected their ensemble name by taking a line of lyrics from the Counting Crows song, “Ghost Train”. On February 21, 2011, Between the Buried and Me announced their move to Metal Blade Records, on which they will be releasing their EP The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues.
